    Preheat your oven to 400 de;F (200 de;C). Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.

    Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until they are tender when squeezed. Let them cool slightly.

    Once cool enough to handle, carefully slice each potato in half lengthwise. Using a spoon, scoop out most of the flesh, leaving about a 1/4-inch border inside the skin. Reserve the scooped potato flesh for another use if desired.
