In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it is completely browned and crumbled. Stir occasionally to break up large pieces. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
⏱ 8 min - 2
Stir the taco seasoning packet and 1/2 cup of water into the cooked ground beef. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Stir occasionally.
⏱ 7 min - 3
While the seasoned beef is simmering, prepare your desired toppings. Shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and have the shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa readily available for assembly.
⏱ 5 min - 4
To assemble each walking taco, carefully open one small bag of corn chips along the top or side, creating an accessible opening. You can gently crush the chips slightly inside the bag if you prefer smaller pieces.
⏱ 1 min - 5
Spoon a generous portion of the hot, seasoned ground beef directly into each chip bag. Then, add your favorite toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and a spoonful of salsa. Insert a fork into the bag and enjoy your walking taco straight from the bag!
