  • 1 lb (450g), tough ends trimmedAsparagus
  • 2 tbsp, dividedOlive oil
  • 1 medium, half sliced, half juicedLemon
  • 1 tspDried dill
  • 0.5 tspGarlic powder
  • 0.5 tspSalt
  • 0.3 tspBlack pepper
  • for garnishFresh parsley (optional)

    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    On the prepared sheet pan, toss the trimmed asparagus with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper until evenly coated. Spread them in a single layer on one side of the pan.

    Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the juice from half of the lemon, dried dill, garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper. Brush this mixture evenly over the top and sides of each salmon fillet.

    Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the other side of the sheet pan alongside the asparagus. Arrange the lemon slices over and around the salmon and asparagus.
